Café Bēarling
Individual project - I was responsible for research, design, and presentation. This branding system was created as part of a class project where I designed a cohesive identity for a fictional café. The goal was to explore brand storytelling through typography and packaging. I chose to create a cute and cozy bear-themed cafe named Café Bēarling (Be-arling; a play on the words "bear" and "darling").I first conceptualized the cafe and created moodboards to fit the ideas I had in mind. Next was creating the logo, picking colors, fonts, and creating a pattern. After that was the creation of the menu and packaging mockups.
Green Onion Asian Market
Individual project – I was responsible for research, design, and presentation. The purpose behind this project was to redesign or design a website for a business. I chose the (now permanently closed) Green Onion Asian Market in Urbana-Champaign and created a website prototype using Figma.
An Original Typeface: Kitchener Tech Trail
Individual project – I was responsible for research, design, and presentation. In this project I created my own custom typeface based on Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, a bustling tech hub surrounded by beautiful forest trails.Kitchener Tech Trail utilizes a blend of sharp edges and rounded swirls to create a whimsical yet technical feel. The big, bold lettering makes it a great choice for headlines.
U & I Events App
Individual project – I was responsible for research, design, and presentation. This project's briefing was to create an app that solves a problem. The problem I wanted to fix was being able to find details about events happening on and around the UIUC campus. My solution was an app that shows users of upcoming events, allowing them to save events to a list, as well their calendar. Users would then be notified and reminded of the events as they come up.
I am a graphic design student from Chicago, currently studying at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and looking for my first part- or full-time job.I decided to study graphic design because I love conceptualizing ideas and seeing them come to life. It's so cool finding a new tool and figuring out the different ways I can use them. When I'm not working on a project, I love playing competitive team games, such as Valorant and League of Legends.
